EXPLORING TABANAN

1. Angseri Hot Spring Tabanan


Angseri Hot spring is the perfect destination for those looking to spend a relaxing day in the centre of the island.

The hot springs are located in Angseri village, a sleepy location in Tabanan Regency. The hot springs were initially used as an antique bath area for the locals, but has since been transformed into a bathing area enjoyed by both locals and foreigners.

2. Belulang Hot Spring


Belulang is hot water attraction is located in the Mengesta Village, Penebel District, Tabanan, approximately 15 km from the city of Tabanan. Is located in the middle of rice fields. Belulang has its own uniqueness that does not smell of sulfur, is different from the hot water in places that generally have a pungent smell. Hot springs is derived from the temple area Beji then accommodated in a pool and then flowed to a few showers and a small pool.

3. Penatahan Hot Spring


Penatahan Hot Spring is one of tourist destinations in Tabanan regency. it is about 15 minutes from Tabanan city and close to Batukaru Temple. This hot water is come from the Batukaru mount and flows to the hill at Penatahan village. 

4. Pujungan Waterfall



The Pujungan Waterfall or also known as Blahmantung waterfall is located in Pujungan village, Pupuan district, Tabanan, Bali. It is located about 48 km from Tabanan city. This waterfall height is approximately 25 meters above the ground that flow from a high cliff in the middle of a plantation that’s far away from the local resident. The area around the Pujungan waterfall is still natural and untouched with a cool air and the natural sound of the water that fall from the height to the rock at the bottom.

5. Bedugul

Bedugul is an area located in the village of Candikuning, Baturiti district, Tabanan regency about 54 km from the city of Denpasar, Bedugul is a mountainous area that has cool air with beautiful view of Beratan lake which makes it's becoming an attractive tourist destinations and one of the best places of interest for holidays on Bali island. The interesting places in Bedugul are:

6. Twin Lakes (Buyan & Tamblingan)


Lake Buyan and lake Tamblingan separated by a rainforest-covered hill, approximately 1 km, there is a pool that is connected directly to the lake Buyan through a narrow canal. The community pool is called Telaga Aya. The two lakes are known as the Twin Lakes. This sights is a great overview. Volcanoes have created and shaped this island, creating volcanic cones and lakes, and producing rich soils enabling a lush forest to grow. This lake is one of the three twin lakes that formed in a large caldera. It was flanked by two other lakes, namely Lake Tamblingan in the west and Lake Bratan in the east. Lake Buyan (on the left here) is Bali’s second biggest lake, after Lake Batur and Tamblingan Lake is the smallest lake on the island.

7. Jatiluwih & Pura Luhur batukaru ( Batukaru Temple)



Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is a famous tourist destination in west part of Bali featured by the breathtaking view of rice terrace unfolding from the foot of mountain until the coastal side. It has been well appointed as one of UNESCO World Heritages since the site has been able to maintain the local culture heritage in form of water irrigation system managed traditionally called by SUBAK. It is one of recommended places to visit in Bali with the beautiful view as according to its name from Jati and luwih, where Jati mean really and Luwih meaning especial, good, and beautiful or the equivalent. The local paddies are planted in this place look typically of the high relative size plant compared with other pre-eminent paddy planted by most farmers in Bali. in line to this, Jatiluwih also famous with its organic agriculture system due to the located in the in the plateau of Watukaru Mount which is suitable for the agriculture development.


Batukaru Temple Bali or Pura Luhur Batukaru Temple is a Hindu shrine which is located right on the slopes of Mount Batukaru Bali, in addition to as a holy place to pray for Balinese Hindu people, Pura Batukaru also famous as a tourist spot visited by many visitors, both domestic and foreign tourists.
Batukaru temple is located in the village of Wongaya Gede, Penebel, Tabanan Regency, Bali, approximately 46 KM from Denpasar city, the location of Pura Luhur Batukaru located in the western part of the island of Bali on the southern slope of Mount Batukaru. The name of Batukaru temple most likely taken from the name of Mt. Batukaru itself.

8. Subak Museum

The Museum of Subak became one of the attractions of interest in Tabanan Bali and visited by many students, and tourists. There are a few things into consideration why Subak Museum established/constructed in the district of Tabanan Bali, such as:
-   Tabanan has the most extensive rice fields in the province of Bali so it is often dubbed as the rice granary of Bali.
-   The number of Subak organizations in Tabanan is the most in comparison with other districts on the island of Bali
.
Subak is an organization owned and operated by the farmers on Bali island that especially manages water control or watering systems/irrigation of rice paddy fields traditionally

9. Alas Kedaton 



Alas Kedaton is located in the village of Kutuh in the district of Marga Tabanan, approximately 25km northeast of Denpasar and 4.5km from Tabanan. The small forest of 12ha is inhabited by hundreds of grey long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis). 
Inside the forest is a namesake temple, usually referred to as Pura Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton. 

10. Pura Tanah Lot Tabanan

 

The temple of Tanah Lot stands on a rocky island just off the southwest coast of Bali. One of Bali's most sacred sea temples, Tanah Lot is dedicated to the guardian spirits of the sea. The temple itself is said to be guarded from evil by the sea snakes that inhabit the caves below.

The temple itself is not accessible to visitors, but magnificent views can be had from a variety of points nearby. Crowds especially gather on the terraces nearby to watch the glow of the sunset behind the temple. Naturally, there are plenty of souvenir shops and cafes with a view to keep you well-supplied while doing so.

11. Bali Butterfly Park


Taman Kupu-Kupu Bali or Bali Butterfly Park is a butterfly and insect conservation facility which exhibits a wide range of specimens through its park grounds in the village of Wanasari, 6.5km north of the Tabanan regency’s capital and 30km northwest of Denpasar. The park claims to be the largest of its kind in Asia.
